Meet Dane and Champ

After our founder, Tim, passed away, we took time as a family to reflect on the incredible life he lived exploring the outdoors with his dogs by his side. From that passion, Rough Rescue Gear was born.

In the months since Tim's passing, we have worked to find a path forward for the company—one that continues his mission of bringing safety and security to your four-legged companion while exploring the outdoors.

During this time of reflection, the decision was made for Tim's nephew, Dane Price, to carry the company forward and continue its mission of bringing dogs around the world the safety, protection, and love they deserve while exploring nature by your side.

Dane is a Colorado native who comes from a dog-loving family. He grew up skiing, mountain biking, fishing, and backpacking through the Colorado mountains, always with a dog by his side. He has been there since the very beginning of Rough Rescue Gear and has followed its journey every step of the way. Inspired by Tim's unwavering love for dogs and his dedication to building a company that helps every dog safely experience everything life has to offer, Dane is honored to continue that legacy.

Dane's goal is to continue providing the highest-quality K-9 rescue and safety gear on the market while growing the company so that more of the world's best friends have access to the products they need. Every decision we make is driven by one simple mission: helping every dog make it home safe and happy.
